Molding Technician

We are hiring a dependable Molding Technician in Boardman, OH to join our manufacturing team. This position is ideal for candidates with manufacturing or production experience who want steady work in a team-oriented environment. Our client produces plastic components in a fast-paced environment. As a Molding Technician, you will set up, operate, and maintain injection molding machines to ensure quality and productivity. You will also support troubleshooting efforts and collaborate with team members to improve processes. Hours
2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday

Pay
$18.00 per hour (range up to $20.00 based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and set up injection molding equipment, molds, dryers, and hoppers
  • Adjust machine parameters and robot programs to meet quality and production goals
  • Perform mold changes and tool setups
  • Inspect parts at start-up, after mold changes, and during production
  • Identify and document defects, following quality standards
  • Take corrective actions to resolve quality issues
  • Troubleshoot molding processes and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with engineers and management on new tools and process trials
  • Perform preventative maintenance and keep work areas organized according to 6-S standards
  • Monitor equipment performance and maintain PM logs

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Experience in injection molding or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Familiarity with molds, dryers, and molding equipment
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read work instructions and quality standards

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience with process optimization in molding operations
  • Knowledge of different resins and molding machinery
  • Previous roles such as Process Tech I, II, III

Preferred Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior manufacturing or molding technician experience

Other Requirements
  • Must work on-site at the Boardman location
  • Ability to work the second shift as scheduled
