Molding TechnicianOur client in Boardman, OH is seeking a dependable Molding Technician to join their manufacturing team. This full-time, on-site position is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing or production experience who are looking for steady work in a team-focused environment.
The role involves supporting the production process by setting up, operating, and maintaining injection molding machines, while ensuring high product quality and efficient operations. The technician will also troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with engineering and management to improve processes. Hours
2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
Pay
$18.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities- Operate and set up equipment
- Set up injection molding machines, molds, dryers, and hoppers
- Adjust machine parameters and robot programs to meet quality and production needs
- Perform mold changes and tool setups
- Ensure product quality
- Inspect parts at start-up, after mold changes, and during production
- Identify defects using quality criteria sheets and inspection standards
- Take corrective actions for quality issues
- Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement
- Troubleshoot molding processes to meet quality standards
- Initiate and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with engineers, managers, and customers on new tools or trials
- Maintenance & Equipment Care
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines and work areas
- Keep workspaces organized following 6-S standards
- Monitor press PM logs and equipment performance
Minimum Requirements- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Experience in injection molding or manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
Nice to Have Skills- Progressive experience in molding technician roles (Process Tech I, II, III) is a plus
- Knowledge of injection molding processes, mold setting, and machine operation
- Familiarity with different resins, dryers, and molding equipment
Preferred Education and Experience- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in manufacturing or injection molding environment
Other Requirements- On-site work location
- Ability to work night shift hours (3:00pm - 11:00pm)
