Volt is immediately hiring for Molding Operator / Injection Mold Operator in Chicopee, MA 01022.

 

As a Molding Operator / Injection Mold Operator, you will:

• Help manufacture precision plastic microplates used in laboratories around the world.
• Operate and monitor injection molding machines and production equipment
• Follow documented manufacturing procedures and work instructions
• Inspect molded components to ensure quality and specification requirements are met
• Record production data, scrap, machine downtime, and adjustments
• Use measuring tools and inspection equipment accurately
• Identify and report quality issues or non-conforming products to supervision
• Segregate and properly label defective materials
• Maintain continuous machine coverage and production flow
• Complete production documentation and reporting forms
• Follow ISO standards, quality procedures, and safety guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Adhere to company policies, dress code requirements, and housekeeping standards

 

This is a full time, contract opportunity.

 

Shift: 1st Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

 

The ideal candidate will have:

      Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience as an Injection Mold Operator, Machine Operator, Production Operator, Manufacturing Associate, Molding Technician, or similar manufacturing role
• Experience operating production equipment that manufactures finished products
• Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, and quality standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable work history and attendance record
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills

      Preferred Qualifications: 

• Plastic injection molding experience
• Experience documenting production electronically
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus

 

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour.

 

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
