Molding Machine Operator – 3rd Shift

Location: Worcester, MA 01606
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
Schedule: 3rd Shift, 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Employment Type: W-2 Contract
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Current Assignment End Date: November 28, 2026
Training: Training will take place on 1st or 2nd shift for the first few weeks before transitioning to 3rd shift.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Molding Machine Operator to support a manufacturing operation in Worcester, MA. This position is responsible for operating hydraulic, robotic, and/or manual presses and molding equipment to form and compact materials into finished products.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, machine operation, molding, press operation, production, or a similar industrial environment and be comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate hydraulic, robotic, and/or manual presses and molding equipment.

  • Mold and form materials into basic product shapes according to specifications.

  • Load, compact, press, and finish materials using established production techniques.

  • Use appropriate molding and pressing methods based on product requirements.

  • Perform basic density testing on initial molded pieces to verify tolerances and specifications.

  • Inspect molded products for quality and conformance to requirements.

  • Use measuring tools to verify product dimensions and specifications.

  • Operate hand and power tools, including tamping equipment.

  • Follow established manufacturing procedures and production instructions.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

  • Follow all safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, machine operation, molding, press operation, assembly, or a related industrial environment preferred.

  • Experience operating hydraulic, mechanical, robotic, or manual production equipment is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing materials and production processes.

  • Ability to use measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.

  • Ability to follow written work instructions and product specifications.

  • Basic math and measurement skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and product quality.

  • Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and production equipment.

  • Ability to train on 1st or 2nd shift for several weeks before moving to the permanent 3rd-shift schedule.

Schedule

Permanent Shift: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM
Shift: 3rd Shift / Overnight

Candidates must be comfortable working overnight and must have flexibility to complete initial training on either 1st or 2nd shift.
