    Mold Technician - Manufacturing

    Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for Mold Technicians for our client’s operation near Martinsburg, WV. These are direct hire (day & night shift – 2/2/3 12-hour schedule) positions with competitive pay and benefits. This is a great opportunity to join a growing industry leader.
    Payrate: 28.00 per hour

    The Mold Technicians will be responsible for regularly inspect, clean, and repair molds to ensure optimal functionality and consistent production quality, addressing issues promptly to minimize downtime.
    Assist in the installation, alignment, and calibration of molds, ensuring efficient transitions during mold changes and optimizing them for improved production performance.
    Monitor mold conditions to prevent defects in production, maintain compliance with safety and industry standards, and document all maintenance activities for operational transparency.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on molds to ensure their proper functioning and durability.
    Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues related to molds used in thermoforming machines.
    Ensure all molds are cleaned and maintained to avoid contamination and ensure high-quality production.
    Address mold-related issues promptly to minimize production interruptions and maintain efficiency.
    Keep detailed records of mold maintenance, repair work, and any modifications made.
    Assist in the installation and setup of new molds to ensure proper alignment and functionality.
    Ensure that all maintenance activities on molds comply with factory safety regulations and procedures.
    Regularly calibrate molds and associated equipment to maintain precise operations in the production process.
    Support mold changes and transitions to ensure seamless production with minimal downtime.
    Monitor and maintain an inventory of spare parts and components for mold maintenance.
    Identify opportunities for mold improvements or modifications to enhance production efficiency.
    Provide technical training to senior mold technicians on handling molds and performing minor maintenance.
    Inspect molds for wear and tear and recommend replacements or repairs as needed.
    Monitor mold heating and cooling systems to maintain appropriate temperatures and production quality.
    Work closely with engineers and operators to implement mold design changes and resolve complex technical issues.
    Be on-call to handle urgent mold-related failures and restore operations swiftly.
    Review production and mold maintenance data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
    Create and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules for all molds and associated systems.
    Ensure all mold components are adequately lubricated to minimize wear and tear.
    Maintain compliance with environmental and industry standards for mold maintenance and handling.
    Conduct routine checks to ensure molds are free from cracks, dents, or other damage.
    Coordinate with production teams to ensure molds are prepared and ready for upcoming production schedules.
    Analyze production defects to determine if mold-related issues are the root cause and implement solutions.
    Participate in mold testing and trial runs to verify functionality before full-scale production.
    Ensure proper storage and handling of molds to prevent damage and extend their lifecycle.
    Production and listing of the blades of the cutting molds to be fitted to the Trim-Presses, repair of broken blades and tracking of raw materials in relation to the blades. 
    Welding experience will be necessary
