    What Youll Do:

    As a Mold Setter I, youll support our injection molding operations by performing mold changeovers, machine startups, preventive maintenance, and equipment setup to keep production running safely and efficiently.

    • Perform mold changeovers according to production schedules, standard operating procedures, and safety requirements.
    • Prepare, install, remove, stage, and store molds, tooling, and related components for production.
    • Perform Level 1-A preventive maintenance, including mold cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and documentation.
    • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, Quick Mold Change (QMC) systems, and other mold handling equipment.
    • Verify mold setup, cooling systems, auxiliary equipment, and machine readiness before releasing equipment to production.
    • Perform machine startups, inspect first-piece production, and communicate any tooling, quality, or equipment concerns.
    • Complete setup, maintenance, and production documentation accurately and on time.
    • Assist with troubleshooting basic molding, tooling, and equipment issues.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Support Pelicans commitment to Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    What We're Looking For:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience performing mold changeovers or working as a Process Technician, Setup Technician, Tooling Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar manufacturing role.
    • Experience with plastic injection molding equipment preferred.
    • Basic knowledge of injection molding materials, molds, and machine operation.
    • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely use hand tools and maintenance equipment.
    • Ability to perform mold setups, machine startups, and basic troubleshooting.
    • Ability to read setup sheets, work instructions, blueprints, and safety documentation.
    • Forklift experience preferred and ability to become certified to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
    • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience operating Quick Mold Change (QMC) systems.
    • Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs.
    • Knowledge of injection molding processes and auxiliary equipment.
    • Experience working in Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The annual U.S. pay range for this position is listed below. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
