MOLD MAKER
Location: Auburn Hills
Pay: $25-$32/hour
Shift: First Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM - Second Shift:4:15 PM – 2:45 AM
Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced Mold Maker with plastic injection mold experience to join a growing manufacturing team supporting automotive customers. This role focuses on building, repairing, and troubleshooting precision molds while working with a variety of machining equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Build, repair, and modify plastic injection molds and tooling.
- Troubleshoot mold issues and perform repairs/upgrades.
- Operate manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, drills, and other shop equipment.
- Perform mold assembly, spotting, polishing, drilling, tapping, and finishing work.
- Read blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions to complete projects.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision tools.
- Collaborate with engineering, programming, and production teams to improve processes.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of mold making or tooling experience.
- Experience with plastic injection molds preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read prints and CAD designs.
- Experience with manual machining and precision measuring tools.
- Familiarity with mold components, hot runners, cooling systems, and mold repair.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
