Mold Maintenance Technician

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician for a long-term, graveyard shift opportunity with an advanced manufacturing company in Hillsboro, OR. The Mold Maintenance Technician performs maintenance tasks on injection molds as well as contributes to process improvements.

Pay:
$29.76/hr+, plus 15% shift differential

Mold Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance on injection molds ensuring calibration and repair accuracy, maintaining necessary records and reports of activities and adhering to established quality specifications and company standards

• Understand and use technical documents, written procedures, and/or verbal directions to complete tasks, assisting Technicians responding to urgent maintenance projects

• Responsible for inspecting, cleaning, repairing, and assisting in the modification of molds and machined parts for all production areas

• Operate manual and CNC machining equipment to perform repairs as needed.

• Follow company-wide safety programs, 5S initiatives, and ISO procedures

• Provide consistent, high-quality output to ensure customer satisfaction and create value to exceed customer expectations

• Regular and reliable attendance is required to accomplish essential functions of the job

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry best practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and visiting other manufacturing facilities as needed

Mold Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Machine Shop Technology, completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program, or equivalent applicable education and work experience is required

• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing tooling experience using production machinery required

• Proficient understanding of machine tools and their proper use is required

• Proficient knowledge of tool steel and heat treatment requirements

• Advanced PC skills are required, including Microsoft Office and Mastercam

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel
