Mold Engineer - Remote

Position Summary:

Lead the design, build, development, qualification, and cost control of injection molding tooling. Coordinate with customers, engineering, production, tool room, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mold/tooling design reviews, builds, repairs, and engineering changes.

• Develop tooling concepts and coordinate project timelines and progress.

• Manage mold sampling, qualification, first article inspection, and customer approvals.

• Serve as the primary technical contact between the company and customers.

• Support production, troubleshooting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

• Review mold designs using 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks.

• Interpret customer drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation.

• Track tooling projects against schedules, costs, and quoted requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering Technology, or related field.

• 1–3 years of relevant injection mold design/build experience or equivalent education and experience.

• SolidWorks/3D CAD experience and GD&T knowledge.

• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of statistical methods and process capability.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
