A manufacturing company in Fairview, PA is seeking a Mold Changeover Specialist to join their team on 2nd shift. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced injection molding environment. Team members will be responsible for completing mold changeovers, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with mold repairs to support production.
Inspect and approve incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
Read Perform scheduled mold changeovers to support production and customer order requirements
Assist with mold disassembly, cleaning, and preventive maintenance
Complete in-press mold cleaning and basic repair tasks to keep molds running efficiently
Replace worn tooling and mold components using available spare parts
Maintain inventory of mold repair and replacement components
Communicate with production, quality, and tooling departments regarding mold status and production needs
Read and interpret basic mechanical blueprints and drawings
Utilize shop equipment and tools while following all safety procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Assist with additional tooling and mold maintenance duties as assigned
1-2 years of experience in injection molding, tooling, machine shop, or similar manufacturing environment preferred
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs
Knowledge of mold construction, assembly, and disassembly preferred
Familiarity with machining practices and shop equipment such as mills, EDM machines, and surface grinders is a plus
Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D mechanical blueprints
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Experience in quality inspection within precision machining or manufacturing
Full Time
Second Shift: 3pm to 11:30pm M-F (training on 1st 7am-3:30pm)
Pay Rate is $17+ per hour DOE.
