We are looking for Medical Assistants (MA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), and Registered Nurses (RN) for our Mohs Micrographic Surgery Department. Prior clinical experience in Mohs Micrographic Surgery or general dermatology is required. Candidates must possess great time management and organizational skills, be motivated, committed, and dependable team players who are able to work in a fast-paced environment. This position is for 4 days per week (Monday through Friday with a set off day), 10 hours per day.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Able to set up patients in exam room, review their medical history, and obtain a detailed HPI.

  • Able to explain procedures to patients and consent patient.

  • Able to scribe for provider during visit, and fill out lab and requisition forms correctly.

  • Able to set-up for and assist provider with all procedures including, but not limited to, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, biopsies and excisions.

  • Able to administer lidocaine injections and IM injections.

  • Able to perform wound dressings and give post-op instructions to patients.

  • Able to call patients to inform of biopsy and lab results and schedule further treatment accordingly.

  • Able to clean, package and sterilize instruments.

  • Maintains patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA protocols.

  • Knowledgeable about OSHA protocols.

  • Other tasks as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Prior clinical experience in Mohs Micrographic Surgery or general dermatology is preferred.

  • Current MA Certification preferred, but will consider years of experience in lieu of a certification.
