MODULE PRODUCTION TABBER TECHNICIAN

Summary
The Module Production Tabber Technician supports Qcells’ fully integrated solar module manufacturing
operation in Cartersville, GA. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and
troubleshooting tabbing equipment used in the module production process. The Technician ensures
stable machine performance, high product quality, and rapid response to equipment issues while
supporting operators and collaborating with maintenance teams. This position is critical in maintaining
high-throughput, high-quality output within a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Process Control
• Operate tabbing machines safely and efficiently following all SOPs and work instructions.
• Monitor machine parameters, product flow, and equipment performance to ensure stable, highvolume output.
• Perform machine adjustments as needed and escalate deviations outside standard settings.
• Complete routine cleaning, periodic checks, and in-process quality inspections.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance Support
• Quickly respond to equipment alarms and faults, resolving issues promptly to minimize
downtime.
• Perform periodic inspections of filters, sensors, water tanks, flux tanks, conveyor belts, pulleys,
and other machine components.
• Replace consumables such as wire rolls and replenish required fluids.
• Assist equipment technicians with repairs, deeper troubleshooting, and technical corrective
actions as needed.
Quality & Data Accuracy
• Conduct frequent product checks to identify defects early and prevent scrap and rework.
• Register production data, downtime, defects, and root cause analysis within the company MES
system.
• Analyze trends to identify recurring issues and communicate critical findings to technical teams.
Team Support & Collaboration
• Provide guidance and support to Tabber Operators, including break coverage and knowledge haring.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to support continuous
improvement.
• Communicate machine issues clearly and promptly to the Shift Leader.
Safety, Housekeeping & Compliance
• Adhere to all Qcells safety policies; immediately report hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain strict compliance with SOPs, PPE expectations, and regulatory standards.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards.
• Maintain consistent attendance, professionalism, and behavior aligned with company policy.
Additional Duties
• Support special projects, system upgrades, and assigned tasks as required by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
