Summary
Manages the daily operation of the Child Support Modifications unit and the Child Support Financial Accounting unit. Provides oversight of the work production and quantity and quality of work performed. Schedules work assignments, assigns hours and work locations, and trains and evaluates employees. Handles difficult problems and develops and documents programs and curriculum. Ensures compliance with policies and laws. Manages the work activities of the Financial Accounting unit. Responsible for implementing all financial collection, disbursement, refunds, corrections, and monitoring control procedures for child support and fees. Ensures compliance with all generally accepted accounting principles, auditing standards, budgetary principles, statutes, and rules for all Child Support Office and DRO money handling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree or equivalent.
Full-time Child Support experience may be substituted on a year-by-year basis.
Four (4) years of full-time related child support, banking or auditing experience.
Requires strong organizational skills.
Must have excellent knowledge of the Texas Family Code as it relates to child support.
Experience with money handling and processing is required.
Ability to work well with people is a must.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to bend, carry, climb stairs, grasp/squeeze, hear, keyboard, lift below the waist, lift between the waist and shoulder, pull, push, reach, perform repetitive tasks, see color, see near, sit, stand, talk, use his/her hands, work alone and with others, and work overtime. Incumbent has possible exposure to violent situations.
