Apple is a place where extraordinary people team up to do their best work. Together we build products and experiences people once couldnt have envisioned - and now cant imagine living without. Do you love tackling big challenges that require exceptionally creative solutions? Imagine what you could do here! At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming phenomenal products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job and theres no telling what you could accomplish. An extraordinary opportunity to be part of our FEA Engineering group, we are responsible for structural analysis, validation, and optimization of mechanical components and systems. Working closely in highly collaborated environment with design, manufacturing, and experimental teams. New challenges arise every day that require the sharp problem-solving skills of individuals. The success we are striving will be the result of very skilled people working in an environment which cultivates creativity, partnership, and thinking of old problems in new ways. If that sounds like the kind of environment that you find intriguing, then lets talk! Develop and validate FEA models for camera modules Perform various types of simulations to predict module behavior Support mechanical design DOEs and correlate FEA with build results Develop new material models for various applications Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Document simulation assumptions, results, and design recommendationsStrong academic tracking record Strong collaboration skill to work with diversified x-function team Demonstrated coursework or hands-on experience in Finite Element Analysis theory and methods Experience with commercial FEA software such as Ansys, Abaqus, or other equivalent commercial FEA packages Understanding of element types, meshing strategies, boundary conditions, and solution methods Basic knowledge in materials science concepts including: Constitutive laws and material behavior (elastic, plastic, viscoelastic properties) Stress-strain relationships and material characterization Hands-on experience with basic mechanical experiments such as bending (4-point/3-point bending), tensile test, vibration, etc. Understanding of experimental design, data collection, and data analysis Experience with machine learning or generative AI is a plus Strong data analysis and some coding experienceMechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science or related Engineering discipline
