Build a Great Team.American Products is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead our Mod Assembly team and ensure safety, quality, productivity, and employee development on the production floor.We are looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, and creating a positive work environment. This role is responsible for supporting team members, meeting production goals, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving continuous improvement throughout the operation.What You'll Do
Lead and support team members in a safe and productive work environmentEnsure daily production goals, quality standards, and delivery schedules are metPromote and enforce all safety policies and proceduresDevelop employees through training, coaching, and cross-training opportunitiesMonitor workflow and address resource needs, including staffing, equipment, and materialsMaintain inventory accuracy and proper labor reportingManage attendance, scheduling, timecards, and employee performanceIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste using lean manufacturing principlesFoster a positive team culture built on collaboration, accountability, and a "whatever it takes" attitude
Qualifications
Previous supervisory experience required (team lead experience considered)Manufacturing leadership experience preferredStrong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and OutlookAbility to troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and employee development skillsExperience with lean manufacturing principles is preferredDependable, flexible, and willing to support the team where needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsFrequent reaching, bending, crouching, and kneelingRegularly lift up to 50 poundsMust wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe boots
