2nd Shift

2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday | 3:30 PM - 1:30 AM

American Products is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead our Mod Assembly team and ensure safety, quality, productivity, and employee development on the production floor.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, and creating a positive work environment. This role is responsible for supporting team members, meeting production goals, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving continuous improvement throughout the operation.
What Youll Do
- Lead and support team members in a safe and productive work environment
- Ensure daily production goals, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met
- Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures
- Develop employees through training, coaching, and cross-training opportunities
- Monitor workflow and address resource needs, including staffing, equipment, and materials
- Maintain inventory accuracy and proper labor reporting
- Manage attendance, scheduling, timecards, and employee performance
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste using lean manufacturing principles
- Foster a positive team culture built on collaboration, accountability, and a "whatever it takes" attitude
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience required (team lead experience considered)
- Manufacturing leadership experience preferred
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and employee development skills
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles is preferred
- Dependable, flexible, and willing to support the team where needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent reaching, bending, crouching, and kneeling
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe boots
