As a
Mobile Technician, you perform intermediate-level maintenance and repairs on J.B. Hunt tractors, trailers, chassis, containers and power equipment. This is a
field-based role, servicing tractor-trailer equipment on-site at customer sites and rail yards using a mobile service truck.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventive maintenance and intermediate repairs (tires, brakes, electrical, structural), including chassis and frame repairs, patching trailer and container panels and roofs
- Inspect equipment and document damage for repair estimates and complete associated work orders with proper repair documentation
- Perform AA trailer and FHWA brake inspections
- Diagnose and repair ABS systems
- Operate and maintain mobile service truck and inventory

Qualifications:- Candidates must be at least 18 years old
- At least 1 year of hands-on mechanic experience servicing semi-trucks and/or trailers or military equivalent
- Clean motor vehicle record
- Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through J.B. Hunt purchasing program
Preferred Qualifications:- DOT certifications in FHWA inspections and air brakes
- Welding certification
- Forklift certification and experience
- EPA Section 608 certification and refrigeration license
