Based in Louisville, KY, you’ll hit the road as a Mobile Stick Welding Specialist to support fabrication and repair work at a variety of sites. Expect hands-on tasks, real-world problem solving, and collaboration with a crew that values precision and safety.
Per diem is provided while traveling, and there is an opportunity for a company truck. Specifics about trip length, locations, and time away from home are discussed during the initial phone screen.
A day in the life
- Lay down consistent, high-quality SMAW (stick) welds to build and repair steel components.
- Study blueprints and technical drawings to understand dimensions, joints, and weld symbols before you strike an arc.
- Confirm exact measurements using a tape measure and other gauges to achieve tight tolerances.
- Troubleshoot weld defects and process issues quickly to keep schedules on track.
- Keep your work area clean and follow safety procedures at all times.
- Coordinate with teammates to deliver reliable results and meet project goals.

- Proven experience as a welder with a strong emphasis on stick welding.
- Sharp troubleshooting instincts and a methodical approach to resolving welding challenges.
- Fluency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Accuracy with tape measures and precision measuring tools.
