Description

Drive a mobile workforce unit into the community and help people find work. This is a hands-on, out-in-the-field position for someone who likes variety, meeting people, and staying busy. You'll be the face of the mobile unit — setting it up at community events, greeting customers, and connecting them with job leads, training programs, and local resources.

Pay: $21.63 per hour Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Location: Fort Pierce, FL (with regular travel to community sites throughout the Treasure Coast)

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary driver of the mobile units and get them ready for scheduled events and service days

  • Keep the units clean, stocked, safe, and mechanically ready; arrange routine maintenance and repairs

  • Make sure onboard technology — laptops, printers, routers, phones — is working before service begins

  • Greet and engage customers, identify their needs, and manage the flow of service

  • Walk customers through available programs, partner services, and community resources

  • Assist with job searches, job referrals, workshops, and online career tools

  • Source qualified candidates for open job orders and follow up

  • Enter service notes and customer activity into the state system accurately and on time

  • Track visits and service activity, and pull reports on unit usage and deployment

  • De-escalate and resolve customer concerns professionally and document as required

What You Need

  • Associate degree + 1 year of hands-on, in-person customer service experience, OR

  • High school diploma/GED + 3 years of hands-on, in-person customer service experience

  • Valid Florida driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance — you must be insurable under the company policy

  • Comfort driving a large mobile unit (training provided)

  • Solid Microsoft Office skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly

  • Strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in the field

  • Patience and professionalism with the public, including difficult conversations

Nice to have: knowledge of the local job market, workforce programs, or prior experience with Employ Florida.

Screening Requirements

Because this role involves driving a company mobile unit, all candidates must pass:

  • Background check

  • Drug screen

  • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
