    Title: Mobile Lab Technician

    Candidate - 0-5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry (With beginner to mid-level experience who is adaptable, eager to learn, and motivated to grow in the role.)

    Role Overview
    • A part-time Contract Technician is sought to operate and maintain a Mobile Extraction Lab.
    • The technician will be responsible for executing daily lab startup, monitoring, and shutdown activities, ensuring continuous and safe operation of lab systems, and maintaining proper data collection through the NMR analytical unit.
     
    Key Responsibilities
    Conduct daily outside and inside lab pre-checks, including RO water system levels, valve positions, compressor and pump operation, and containment management.
    Perform lab system startup and software initialisation, ensuring all alarms, permissive, and operational parameters are within acceptable limits.
    Monitor ongoing operations, including:
    • RO and brine feed flows
    • NMR readings and system alarms
    • Pump, valve, and flowmeter performance
     
    Conduct routine filter changes and minor maintenance per SOP requirements.
    Respond to alarms and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or software issues to restore functionality.
    Maintain clean, safe, and organised lab conditions (5S compliance).
    Accurately log operational data and communicate status updates to Operations Management.
     
    Qualifications
    • Prior Oil & Gas or industrial process experience preferred—familiarity with fluid flow, valve operation, and mechanical systems is highly desirable.
    • Basic computer proficiency; ability to follow step-by-step digital operating procedures.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work safely around pressurised and electrical systems.
    • Self-directed, reliable, and attentive to operational details.
