Description

The Mobile Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory of mobile devices, accessories, and related IT assets. This position supports inventory tracking, auditing, reconciliation, order fulfillment, device provisioning, shipping and receiving, and mobile device lifecycle activities. The role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, accurate recordkeeping, and proactive coordination with internal teams, vendors, and end users to ensure timely fulfillment and effective asset management.

Job Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory records for mobile devices, accessories, and related IT assets within designated inventory management systems.

Perform regular physical inventory audits and reconciliation activities to ensure inventory records remain accurate and complete.

Track mobile device check-in, check-out, transfers, returns, replacements, and disposals throughout the asset lifecycle.

Validate device and accessory availability and inventory status prior to order fulfillment.

Support mobile device provisioning, configuration, shipping, receiving, and distribution activities.

Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and telecom/carrier partners regarding device orders, returns, replacements, and inventory requirements.

Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy.

Maintain appropriate documentation for device movements, transactions, transfers, returns, and disposal activities.

Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages, excess inventory, or fulfillment issues.

Assist with the coordination of mobile device lifecycle processes, including deployment, refresh, replacement, recovery, and retirement.

Prepare inventory reports, operational metrics, and status updates for management and relevant stakeholders.

Utilize Excel and inventory management tools to analyze inventory data and identify trends, discrepancies, and operational issues.

Maintain accurate and timely records in applicable IT asset management, inventory, and service management systems.

Provide timely and professional communication regarding inventory status, fulfillment activities, discrepancies, and outstanding requests.

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, asset tracking, and mobile operations.

Perform other duties as assigned by management in support of departmental and organizational objectives.
