What Your Day Looks Like
- Tackle advanced maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and farm machinery in the field.
- Use advanced diagnostic tooling and service literature to get to root cause—fast and accurately.
- Handle both planned service and urgent, unscheduled calls with minimal oversight while meeting safety and performance standards.
- Operate cranes and other specialized equipment to support component removal, installation, and precise repair tasks.
- Keep customers informed with clear recommendations, ETAs, and detailed updates.
- Document work meticulously—parts, labor, and findings—so the next job starts ahead.
- Mentor entry-level techs and collaborate across the team to elevate field service quality.
- Stay sharp on industry advancements and apply them to improve repair outcomes.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years hands-on experience with diesel, hydraulic, or electrical systems.
- Deep familiarity with diagnostic software, meters, and OEM manuals.
- Proven troubleshooting under pressure in fast-paced field environments.
- Your own professional toolset appropriate to the work.
- Strong prioritization and multitasking skills.
- Valid driver’s license and readiness to drive a company service vehicle.
- Ability to pass background checks.
- Comfort lifting 50+ pounds and working indoors and outdoors.
Preferred
- ASE certifications or OEM training (Freightliner, Detroit, Cummins, etc.).
- Field service/mobile repair experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Customer-facing leadership on job sites or project oversight.
