You read the schematics, isolate the fault, swap a component, and document the repair so the customer can keep freight moving. That blend of mechanical know-how, electrical savvy, and safe, efficient work is exactly what this Mobile Forklift Service Mechanic role is about.

    What You'll Tackle

    • Perform in-field diagnostics and corrective repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment.
    • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and comprehensive safety inspections.
    • Service major systems: engines, transmissions, hydraulics, braking systems, and electrical components.
    • Use service literature—manuals, schematics, and technical documentation—to guide accurate repairs.
    • Capture clear service notes and maintain precise records of all work performed.
    • Communicate findings, options, and timelines directly with customers on-site.
    • Work to established safety standards and adhere to company procedures at every step.

    What You Bring

    • Hands-on experience as a forklift technician/mechanic.
    • Solid grasp of internal combustion engines, electric motors, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
    • Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
    • Valid driver’s license and readiness to travel to customer locations.
    • Comfort with basic computer skills for service reporting and documentation.

    Bonus Skills

    • Technical certification in heavy equipment or diesel mechanics.
    • Background with leading forklift brands (Toyota, Hyster, Yale, Crown).
    • OSHA safety training or certification.
