DEPARTMENT:Maintenance REPORTS TO:Maintenance Manager POSITION DESCRIPTION: Completes mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs and preventative maintenance (PM) on all plant mobile equipment, company road vehicles and trucks. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Emergency repairs to all company mobile equipment.
- Complete PM’s on all units and document information on file.
- Fabricate and weld repairs on all equipment as needed.
- Must be able to fabricate parts in lieu of availability of purchased units.
- Must have proficiency in gasoline, propane, and diesel engine repair.
- Must be able to search machine manuals and correctly list parts from manuals.
- Maintain a cleans area.
- Daily job duties are subject to change at any time based on department needs.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTITUDES: - High School diploma/GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, Class A CDL preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Experience using mobile equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally pull, push, carry, or lift tools, equipment, or materials 75 lbs. or less.
- Ability to withstand occasional bending, squatting, or crouching.
- Ability to frequently handle (hold, seize, grasp, turn, etc.) tools, equipment, or material.
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions, including cold, heat, and humidity.
- Adhere to all Safety Policies and Procedures, including, but not limited to proper PPE, and Daily Equipment Inspections.
PPE REQUIREMENTS: Steel toe shoes, Safety Vest and/or Safety shirt, Gloves to fit the job, Ear Protection when in Big Red, (Safety Glasses and/or goggles, Hard Hat, Ear Protection, when out of the Forklift and/or Straddle).
