Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Mobile Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join a maintenance team in Sapulpa. This position will support the Mobile Equipment Repair group while an existing employee is on an approved leave of absence, maintaining and repairing a variety of diesel-powered equipment used throughout the facility.

While this position is initially temporary, there is potential for long-term or full-time employment based on business needs and performance.



Required Experience & Skills
• Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic or heavy equipment repair experience preferred
• Experience repairing forklifts, skid steers, payloaders, loaders, or similar heavy equipment
• Strong diesel engine troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
• Strong commitment to equipment safety and reliability



Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on diesel-powered mobile equipment
• Maintain and repair forklifts, skid steers, payloaders, and other heavy mobile equipment
• Inspect equipment to identify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine problems
• Repair engines, drivetrains, braking systems, steering systems, hydraulics, and electrical components
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce unexpected downtime
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately and on time
• Ensure equipment is maintained in safe and operational condition
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance personnel to minimize equipment downtime
• Perform additional mobile equipment maintenance duties as assigned



Preferred Qualifications
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Previous experience maintaining equipment in an industrial or manufacturing facility
• Strong preventive maintenance background
• Experience with electrical and hydraulic diagnostic equipment
• Broad knowledge of diesel-powered material handling and heavy equipment



Physical Requirements
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and working in various positions while repairing equipment
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair equipment
• Comfortable working in both plant and outdoor environments with varying conditions

• Industrial maintenance and mobile equipment repair environment
• Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, heavy equipment, oils, grease, and industrial machinery
• Combination of indoor facility and outdoor equipment repair work
• Safety-focused workplace emphasizing equipment reliability and minimizing production downtime
