Mobile Diesel Mechanic

Our customer is looking for a Field Service Diesel Technician to diagnosis and repair Diesel Trucks in the San Antonio area. 

Supporting Diesel Truck customers in the San Antonio area, we are looking for Mobile Diesel Technicians who have good attention to details and strong communication skills. The primary duties of a Mobile Diesel Mechanic include performing diagnostic tests on various vehicles to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Running diagnostic tests on vehicles
• Analyzing diagnostic test results
• Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
• Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks
• Maintaining a parts inventory
• Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
• Checking vehicle lighting systems
• Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
• Documenting and submitting daily work logs/time sheets to supervisor

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School or equivalent

Two to four years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
