Keep Equipment Ready, Reliable, and Safe — With Us
RITE WRENCH LLC is on the lookout for a Mobile Diesel Technician to join our growing Fort Lauderdale team. If you're a hands-on problem-solver who thrives in the field and values customer satisfaction as much as quality work, you’re the kind of pro we’re looking for.
What to Expect Day-to-Day
Every day is different out in the field. You’ll start your shift with a clear schedule, heading directly to customer sites in a fully equipped service vehicle. Most of your work will be on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and fleet equipment used in construction, logistics, and industrial operations. Whether it’s a routine inspection or an unexpected breakdown, you’ll be the face of Rite Wrench — diagnosing, sourcing parts as needed, and getting the job done on-site. You’ll work independently, but stay in close communication with both the office and the customer to keep everything running smoothly. It’s hands-on, solution-driven work that gives you the freedom to make real decisions, and see the impact of your expertise right away.
What You’ll Do:
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs for diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, suspension, brakes, and more — all performed on-site at customer locations.
  • Utilize industry-standard diagnostic software and tools (e.g., Cummins Insite, CAT ET, Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link) to identify and resolve engine faults and system issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance services including oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and full-system inspections.
  • Conduct and oversee DOT and FDOT inspections to keep customer fleets compliant and road-safe.
  • Handle high-priority service calls with professionalism and speed, delivering reliable on-site solutions from a fully stocked service truck.
  • Source and coordinate parts as needed, communicating clearly with both the customer and office support to streamline service.
  • Ensure all work is thoroughly documented, including service performed, parts used, and diagnostic results.
  • Set the tone for quality and accountability in the field, mentoring junior techs and helping improve workflows.
  • Stay updated on diesel technology, diagnostic systems, and emerging best practices to bring added value to every job.
What You Bring:
  • 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience (mobile or shop).
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with brake, electrical, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnostic software and tools experience preferred.
  • CDL preferred — clean driving record required.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work solo and represent our brand in the field.
  • Respect for time, tools, and customers — always showing up with a solutions-first mindset.
