Mobile Device Forensics Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Device Forensics Analyst to conduct forensic examinations of mobile devices and analyze digital evidence from iOS and Android platforms.

The role will focus on forensic acquisition, mobile artifact analysis, deleted-data recovery, evidence preservation, and investigative reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industry-standard mobile forensic platforms and a strong understanding of mobile operating systems and application artifacts.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire and analyze forensic data from mobile devices using established forensic methodologies.
• Perform forensic examinations of iOS and Android devices.
• Analyze mobile artifacts, including:
  • Call logs
  • Text messages and communications
  • Application data
  • Browser history
  • Location and geolocation data
  • Photos, videos, and other media
  • Device and system information
• Recover and analyze deleted artifacts where technically possible.
• Examine application databases and other relevant mobile artifacts.
• Validate and document forensic findings.
• Maintain evidence integrity throughout the acquisition and examination process.
• Follow appropriate chain-of-custody and evidence-handling procedures.
• Support incident response and broader digital investigations when required.
• Prepare detailed and technically defensible forensic reports.
• Communicate findings clearly to investigators, security teams, legal stakeholders, or management.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mobile Device Forensics Analyst, Examiner, or Digital Forensics Investigator.
• Hands-on experience conducting forensic examinations of iOS and Android devices.
• Proficiency with one or more industry-standard mobile forensic platforms.
• Strong understanding of mobile operating-system artifacts and application data.
• Experience acquiring, preserving, and analyzing mobile forensic evidence.
• Experience recovering deleted artifacts where technically feasible.
• Strong knowledge of evidence integrity and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate, and defensible forensic reports.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
