Mobile App Build Engineer, Vehicle Software

Tesla's continued success depends on engineers being able to develop, debug, and deploy software quickly. Our mobile app build, deployment and testing infrastructure directly impacts our Vehicle, Energy, and Autopilot engineers. You ll be joining a small team that works on all components of the mobile app including Robotaxi, Vehicle, Energy and Optimus.

This unique position exposes one to a wide array of interesting technical challenges and enables one to defend practices like code hygiene, reuse, and maintainability, while helping developers across all organizations within Tesla ship awesome new mobile app features. You will work on developer experience, continuous integration, build pipeline optimization, App Store and Google Play integration, and infrastructure to help develop, test, deploy and iterate more rapidly.

• Make decisions on the real-world products delivered to customers
• You will work on building a distributed compute system, running code on bare metal & cloud servers
• Your focus will be on making code more efficient to compile and run, optimizing resources across the build machines, and speeding up the compute workloads we face
• Increase joy for Tesla customers with faster and more reliable app updates
• Excellent knowledge of any modern programming language (Swift, Kotlin, Java, Objective-C, Golang, C++, Python, Rust, Ruby, etc.)
• iOS and Android build tools experience
• Strong Linux or Mac OS knowledge

Expected Compensation

$120,000 - $396,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
