Description

IDR is seeking a MMIS Project Manager to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves supporting large-scale Medicaid system modernization projects within the healthcare technology sector, providing leadership across multiple teams and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

Position Overview for the MMIS Project Manager:

  • Lead end-to-end project management of Provider Management interfaces and integrations, from initial planning through deployment and operational readiness
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items across multiple teams and vendors
  • Coordinate delivery and testing activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployment
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical blockers, stalled decisions, and cross-team dependencies to keep projects on track
  • Facilitate meetings and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure project goals are met

Requirements for the MMIS Project Manager:

  • Active PMP certification required
  • 4+ years of IT project management experience supporting system implementation, integration, or modernization initiatives
  • Experience with Medicaid/MMIS, Medicaid Enterprise Systems, or similar large-scale healthcare programs
  • Direct experience managing system interfaces and integrations across multiple vendors and platforms
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies, along with testing phases such as SIT and UAT
