Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) for an excellent opportunity with one of our healthcare partners in the Indianapolis, IN area.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical laboratory skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Position Overview

As an MLT or MT, you will perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests and procedures that assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, coagulation, and immunology
  • Collect, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens according to established laboratory procedures
  • Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Review and verify laboratory results for accuracy and promptly communicate critical values
  • Perform quality control testing and maintain accurate documentation
  • Follow established laboratory safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance standards
  • Maintain accurate patient records and laboratory documentation
  • Identify potential testing discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Assist with inventory management and ensure laboratory supplies and reagents are properly maintained
  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to high-quality patient care

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related laboratory science for MLT candidates
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field for MT/MLS candidates
  • ASCP, AMT, or equivalent nationally recognized certification preferred
  • New graduates who meet certification eligibility requirements may be considered
  • Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, quality control, and safety practices
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
