Summary:
Pre-Weigh Technician / Mixer Operator
Responsible for measuring, weighing, and preparing powdered raw materials used in the production of industrial adhesives for the automotive industry. Will initially work as a Pre-Weigh Technician before training to become a Mixer Operator, operating machinery used in the adhesive manufacturing process.
Duties:
Measure and weigh powdered raw materials according to production requirements.
Package measured materials into smaller bags and prepare them for production.
Place prepared materials and full bags of raw materials (up to 50 lbs.) onto skids for delivery to the Mixer area.
Supply the Mixer area with the necessary raw materials to maintain production.
Train to operate mixing machinery used to manufacture industrial adhesives.
Monitor equipment and follow established operating procedures and safety guidelines.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Work within established procedures and guidelines with moderate supervision.
Qualifications:
Previous machine operation experience preferred.
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Ability to successfully pass a pulmonary/fit test at Henry Ford Occupational Health in Jackson, MI.
Mechanical aptitude is highly beneficial.
Forklift experience preferred.
ESD (electrostatic dissipative) steel-toed safety shoes are required on the first day of work.
