Mitigation Lead Technician

As a Mitigation Lead Technician, you are company's skilled field leader: you organize the crew, direct safe mitigation work, make sound technical decisions, document the loss accurately, and keep the customer informed. Produce timely, accurate photos, moisture logs, equipment records, measurements, sketches, daily notes, and required job documentation.

• When a home or business suffers water, fire, or storm damage, property owners need someone who knows what to do next. As a Mitigation Lead Technician, you are company's skilled field leader: you organize the crew, direct safe mitigation work, make sound technical decisions, document the loss accurately, and keep the customer informed. You work closely with a Project Manager who handles estimating and claim negotiations

 
WHAT YOU WILL DO MOST DAYS:

• Lead water-damage mitigation and other assigned restoration work from site setup through field completion
• Assess moisture conditions, select and position drying equipment, track readings and recognize when conditions require escalation
• Direct technicians and temporary labor; assign tasks, coach safe work, monitor productivity, and maintain an orderly jobsite
• Serve as the primary on-site contact: explain the work and next steps to property owners with professionalism and empathy
• Produce timely, accurate photos, moisture logs, equipment records, measurements, sketches, daily notes, and required job documentation
• Coordinate field findings and changes with the Project Manager; maintain TPA and company documentation standards
• Work alongside the crew when needed, including extraction, containment, selective demolition, equipment handling, and cleanup

 
WHO SUCCEEDS IN THIS ROLE:

• Prior hands-on water mitigation/restoration experience and the ability to direct a field crew independently
• Working knowledge of drying principles, moisture measurement, containment, equipment selection, and safe demolition
• Strong customer communication, dependable judgment, and clear, timely documentation using mobile job systems
• Valid driver’s license; ability to perform physical restoration work and participate in scheduled emergency on-call coverage
• IICRC WRT and other applicable certifications are valued; demonstrated field proficiency matters as much as credentials
