Mission Systems Engineer (MSE)
The requirements listed define the Mission Systems Engineer (MSE) responsibilities and tasking. The MSE is a highly qualified individual that understands projects, managing resources and can conduct in-depth analysis of systems. The MSE works with the design team to understand the Government's needs, develop visions, and execute Minotaur and ISR operations. The MSE shall directly support the Chief Integration Officer (CIO)/C5ISR Program Director, Project Managers (PjM), and engineers to accomplish tasks related to design, integration, and deployment of mission systems and ground infrastructure. The MSE shall be a self-starter that is able to deliver products to meet mission execution.
The MSE shall be qualified to execute the functions below.
1: Develop and analyze high level architecture, designs, and functional requirements for ground infrastructure, aircraft, and surface C5ISR systems.
2: Create C5ISR solutions and map project planning documents.
3: Develop C5ISR solutions that meet detailed specifications and requirements.
4: Develop C5ISR prototype designs for rapid deployment.
5: Draft Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Alternatives Analysis (AA), and Technology Roadmaps.
6: Draft system design concepts, plans, and reports for C5ISR solutions.
7: Cultivate customer relationships that enhance the company's reputation to ensure a clear and complete understanding of customer needs.
8: Be able to work cohesively with Product Owner/s, Software developers, Engineers, Technicians and other team members to ensure project cost, schedule and performance are met.
9: Operate as a Product Owner for projects.
10: Plan team travel, develop travel plans, and provide travel status.
11: Plan details for operational testing, operational exercises, and operational needs to include materials, daily planning, travel coordination, and personnel movements.
12: Develop planning, meetings, and projects documents supporting PjMs.
13: Execute travel to meet Government requirements.
14: Obtain and maintain at least a Secret clearance.
15: Be able to accept guidance and direction from the CIO/MPD, PjMs, and senior Project or Technical Leads.
16: Conduct Government and internal reviews and act on feedback from reviewers.
17: Build visions, business relationships, & goals for future endeavors.
