Description

Our client, a AV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Mission Readiness Shift Supervisor for their Los Angeles, CA location.
 
Responsibilities:

  • As a contract Mission Readiness Shift Supervisor, you will make sure that daily tasks are done in a timely manner and to client standard.  This position requires strong attention to detail, and the ability to supervise a team effectively.  Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards during their designated shift.
  • Provide logistical support for the movement and storage of vehicles and equipment.
  • Manually drive L3 and auxiliary vehicles when needed.
  • Ensure the service VH6’s are on the correct PRC before sending out for service
  • Assist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness.
  • Support the readiness of spare parts and the associated inventory.
  • Ensure the workshop area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous and/or hazardous material, in accordance with company and OSHA guidelines
  • Be able to support remote working sites.
  • Foster open communication among team members and other supervisors to facilitate a cohesive work environment.
  • Keep upper management informed of any significant developments or issues.
  • Act as a point of contact for team members regarding any challenges or issues that may arise during the shift.
  • Resolve conflicts and address concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Regularly observe team members to ensure they are working efficiently and adhering to company standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching as necessary to improve performance.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential issues, challenges, or opportunities that may arise within the team.
  • Be the first level of all quality control in general.
  • Provide newhire onboarding and communicating expectations.
  • Support the analysis, documentation, and reporting of data.
 
Requirements:
  • Be an advocate for constant, neverending improvement.
  • 1+ years of people leadership experience.
  • High School/GED is required
  • Proven ability to quickly learn technical subjects.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office/Google Suite, especially Excel or Sheets
  • Detail oriented
  • Team player that collaborates well crossfunctionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Must be honest, responsible, and an outstanding communicator
  • Prior experience with Git
  • Proficiency in Jira/Confluence
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite, especially Excel or Sheets
  • Department: Fleet Operations
