Marubeni-Itochu Steel America (MISA) is part of a global team trading in a wide range of steel products. The MISA Sales team is currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager for our Cincinnati, Ohio or Nashville, Tennessee office.
This position is responsible for developing sales, securing new customers and driving revenue growth through the sale of steel pipe and tubing products used in residential, commercial, industrial, and product applications in other industries in the following territories: Mainly Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee. This role focuses on new business development, account growth, and strengthening market presence within assigned territories while maintaining and focusing on building strong customer relationships across targeted industries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
10+ years of B2B sales experience in steel pipe or tubing products, including demonstrated depth of hands-on expertise in the galvanized pipe segment (e.g., product specifications, coatings, applications, and customer requirements). Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes. Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. Organizational and multi-tasking skills to effectively handle several projects and customers at once. Results-driven and self-motivated. Strong technical and consultative selling skills. Customer-focused mindset. Strategic thinking and problem-solving. Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's/Master's degree and 10 plus years' experience
