We fabricate and install storefront, curtain wall, entrances, and interior glazing for the Valley's top general contractors, including work for Mayo Clinic and HonorHealth.Position SummaryThe Glazing Superintendent owns field execution on our Heavy Commercial and Tenant Improvement projects. You run the work in the field - crews, schedule, material flow, safety, and quality - and you are Mirror Works' face to the general contractor on site. You partner daily with project managers, assistant project managers, and the fabrication shop to make sure what gets built matches what was sold, on schedule and installed right the first time. This role is hands-on, field-based, and moves between active jobsites across the Valley.TEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & Crew ManagementDirect daily field operations for multiple concurrent glazing projects - storefront, curtain wall, entrances, and interior glazing.Assign, schedule, and supervise glazing crews and foremen; balance manpower across jobs based on schedule priority and production needs.Set daily and weekly production goals, track progress against them, and adjust manpower or sequence when the job slips.Mentor foremen, journeymen, and apprentices; enforce workmanship standards and develop the next generation of field leaders.Schedule & CoordinationAttend GC coordination, OAC, and pre-installation meetings; represent Mirror Works professionally with general contractors, owners, and architects.Coordinate glazing scope with other trades - framing, drywall, waterproofing, MEP, and finishes - to protect sequence and avoid rework.Build and maintain three-week look-ahead schedules; communicate manpower and material needs to project management ahead of time.Verify field dimensions and existing conditions before fabrication releases; flag discrepancies between drawings and as-built conditions immediately.Material, Logistics & Fabrication InterfaceWork with the fabrication shop and PMs on material releases, delivery timing, staging, and hoisting so glass and metal hit the site when the crew is ready for it.Manage on-site material handling, storage, protection, and inventory; minimize breakage, loss, and double-handling.Confirm deliveries against packing lists and shop drawings; report shortages, damage, or fabrication errors same day.Quality & Technical ExecutionEnsure installation complies with approved shop drawings, submittals, manufacturer requirements, AAMA standards, and applicable building codes.Oversee layout, anchorage, glazing, sealant application, waterproofing tie-ins, and water testing; own the weatherproofing details.Conduct quality walks, build and close out punch lists, and drive final acceptance and closeout.Identify and document changed conditions, delays, and out-of-scope work; notify the PM promptly to support change orders and backcharge defense.SafetyEnforce Mirror Works and GC-specific safety programs; lead daily huddles, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses.Own fall protection, rigging and hoisting, glass-handling, lift operation, and housekeeping compliance on every site.Investigate and report incidents and near misses; correct unsafe conditions before work continues.Documentation & ReportingComplete daily reports covering manpower, work performed, deliveries, delays, visitors, and site conditions.Review and approve crew time; verify accurate cost coding for labor tracking.Maintain current drawings, submittals, and RFI responses in the field; ensure crews are building from the latest revision.Other duties as required.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.5+ years of commercial glazing field experience, including at least 2 years as a foreman or superintendent.Hands-on knowledge of storefront, curtain wall, entrances, and interior glazing systems ( Arcadia, Kawneer, YKK AP, Truelite, Oldcastle, US Alum. CRL, or equivalent).Proven ability to manage crews, hold a schedule, and coordinate with general contractors on active commercial sites.OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain within 60 days); working knowledge of fall protection and lift safety requirements.Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation between Valley jobsites.Comfortable with jobsite technology - email, smartphone/tablet, daily reporting apps, and GC platforms such as Procore or PlanGrid.Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and badging requirements for healthcare and secured facilities.Self dicipline and ability to balance demands from our GCs while maintaining a healhty support to our field and shop team.PreferredHealthcare, higher education, or occupied-facility renovation experience (Mayo Clinic, HonorHealth, Banner, or similar).Experience running both Heavy Commercial and Tenant Improvement work simultaneously.Familiarity with AAMA testing, field water testing (AAMA 501.2), and curtain wall waterproofing details.Aerial lift, scissor lift, forklift, and rigging/signal person certifications.Bilingual English/Spanish.Work EnvironmentMirror Works is a drug-free workplace.Active construction environment with exposure to Phoenix heat, noise, dust, and elevated work.Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs; occasionally assist with heavier glass units using proper equipment.Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders and stairs, bending, and working from lifts and scaffolding.Daily travel between jobsites across the Phoenix metro; early starts and occasional night or weekend work to meet schedule or occupied-facility restrictions.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experience.Paid WeeklyExcellent benefit package.We value team members who are reliable, solutions-oriented, and maintain a professional, positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
