TradeWorX is hiring an experienced
Mini Excavator Operator for an immediate, short-term construction assignment in the Fort Edward, NY area.
This position involves operating a mini excavator to safely move, lift, and position swamp mats used for equipment access. We need a skilled operator with strong equipment knowledge, experience using attachments, and the ability to work safely around ground personnel and other equipment.

Pay & Overtime- Pay: $60/hour or more, subject to final rate confirmation
- Overtime paid according to applicable requirements
- Final prevailing-wage compensation and applicable supplemental benefits will be confirmed before the assignment

Job Duties- Operate a mini excavator to move and position swamp mats.
- Safely use equipment attachments for lifting and material handling.
- Lift, relocate, and stage mats according to site direction.
- Work safely around spotters, ground personnel, and other equipment.
- Navigate uneven terrain and changing ground conditions.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and follow site safety procedures.
Requirements- OSHA 10 certification required.
- Proven experience independently operating mini excavators.
- Strong knowledge of excavator controls, attachments, lifting capacities, and equipment limitations.
- Experience safely lifting, handling, and positioning heavy materials.
- Understanding of load stability, attachment safety, and spotter communication.
- Ability to work safely on uneven or soft ground.
- Reliable transportation and availability for the full assignment.
Experience with swamp mats, access mats, civil construction, or utility construction is strongly preferred.
