Job Title: Minerals Mill Worker Location: Amelia LA 70380 Duration: 06+ Months Pay rate: $19.00/hr – $20.00/hr on W2 without benefits Shift : rotational shift - 8am to 4pm, 4pm to midnight, midnight to 8 am
Summry: **need to live within 30 miles of work location**
The Minerals Mill Worker is responsible for utilizing crushing, grinding, conveying, packaging, testing and shipping equipment to expedite transformation of crude materials such as barite and bentonite into finished products.
Basic Objective: Operate the appropriate grinding, transfer system and/or crushing equipment to attain maximum efficency while producing a quality product.
Qualification Requirements:- Appropriate Education to perform task
- Understanding of operational parameters for equipment.
- Ability to take accurate readings and measurements and record on proper reports.
- Ability to recognize changes that affect operation of equipment and the ability to correct problems.
- Training as required.
- MSHA 8 hour annual refresher.
- Quality System Training.
- Environmental Management System Training.
- QHSE Training.
- Task Trained in all procedures and requirements for the position.
Responsibilities:- Operate grinding equipment and transfer system equipment in an efficient manner.
- Monitor 75 micron test results, record and correct as needed for API
- Monitor D90 and D50 micron test from Masters Izer and record and correct as needed for Microbar.
- Prevent production of non-conforming material.
- Operate equipment in a manner to keep unnecessary maintenance problems to a minimum.
- Communicate with Loader Operator and Bulk loaders.
- Maintain a safe, clean environmentally sound work area.
- It is the responsibility of the Mill Operator to make sure all test are being performed and recorded to assure a quality product is produced. (API and or MICROBAR)
