Mine Engineer

Engineer - Mine (Surface)

Accountabilities:

• Provide engineering services including mine layout and design, ground control and surveying, map preparation, drafting, gas well permitting, bid package preparation, and other related duties.
• Oversee environmental compliance -- provide data for WVDEP permits, perform compliance reviews, and provide engineering services for reclamation and construction projects.
• Participate in the preparation of annual budget by providing tonnages, quality, capital expenditure and plant sourcing information.

Requirements:

• BS Mining or Civil Engineering 5 Years Surface Mining Experience Preferred.
• Possess excellent computer, communication and writing skills.
• Previous experience in drafting, surveying, geology, construction, permitting and State and Federal regulations.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, AutoCad and SurvCadd.
• Prior experience supervising hourly employees a plus.

Certifications/Licenses:

• WV Underground Miner's Certification. PE preferred.
