Title: Millwright
Location: McIntosh, AL
Pay: $46.90/hour
Focus: We are seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright or Mechanical Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair, troubleshoot, align, and optimization of industrial mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic tools and equipment, conveyor systems, steam and water systems and production machines and equipment, and commercial HVAC/chiller systems. This position supports the safe and reliable operation of plant equipment in both field and shop environments. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and is experienced working with rotating equipment, refrigeration systems, pumps, compressors, piping, and industrial machinery.
Essential Job Functions:
Minimum Qualifications include:
High school diploma or equivalent; Technical training or Associate degree in HVAC/R, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance or millwright experience combined with commercial HVAC or chiller service experience.
EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required for HVAC/chiller work.
Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, refrigeration cycles, pumps, compressors, motors, bearings, valves, piping, and rotating equipment.
Experience servicing centrifugal, screw, scroll, absorption, or magnetic-bearing chillers is preferred.
Must be able to work call-ins and overtime when support is needed.
Able to pass a functional physical testing and able to use standard safety equipment; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to climb ladders/stairs and work at heights.
Able to work in tight or closed-in spaces.
Pass a physical, drug screen and background check if job offer is received and accepted.
Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US driver's license.
