Millwright/Field Mechanic

Pay: $25-31/hr.

Shift: Day, depends on job site

Description:

• Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a Millwright/Field Mechanic responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Millwright, Field Mechanic or similar role in an industrial setting
• Ability to travel to job sites and commute to the shop
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, including hydraulics and pneumatics
• Proficiency with precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, and laser alignment equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights when necessary

Job Duties:

• Read and interpret diagrams, schematic drawings, and service manuals to determine work procedures
• Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts accurately
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
• Align and test equipment, making necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation
• Perform predictive and operational procedures to maintain equipment efficiency
• Repair or replace defective parts as needed
• Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required
• Maintain an inventory of replacement parts and order new parts as necessary
