    Millwork Engineer We're hiring a Millwork Engineer with experience in high-end residential or commercial millwork to produce accurate, buildable shop drawings and support the successful execution of custom projects from design intent through fabrication and installation. This role requires strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to work across multiple projects while coordinating with Project Managers, the Engineering Manager, fabricators, and other internal teams.You will be expected to interpret architectural and designer intent quickly and accurately, identify conflicts or construction issues early, and develop drawing packages that support clean approvals, efficient fabrication, and strong field outcomes. This role requires disciplined execution, adaptability, and clear communication in a fast-moving environment.We're looking for a long-term fit who is collaborative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Our interview process is thorough, and we appreciate your patience as we ensure a strong fit for both sides.WHAT YOU'LL OWN Engineering + Drawing ProductionCreate accurate 2D CAD drawings for interior and exterior millwork for new construction, remodels, and restoration projectsPrepare drawing packages for internal review, client approval, and fabricationInterpret architectural and designer drawings, renderings, models, sketches, and specifications quickly and accuratelyTranslate design intent into practical, buildable engineering solutions that support fabrication and installation realitiesDesign Coordination + Problem SolvingIdentify design, construction, and coordination issues early and communicate practical solutionsCollaborate with the Engineering Manager and Project Management team to determine the best engineering approach for each projectAdapt to shifting project scope, revisions, and changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and momentumRevise drawings based on internal feedback, architect and designer comments, and field measurementsCross-Team CommunicationCoordinate with Project Managers across multiple active projects simultaneouslyCommunicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and fabricators to keep work alignedSupport smooth information flow between design, engineering, production, and field teamsMaintain clear, organized drawing revisions and documentation throughout the engineering processStandards + ExecutionMaintain and promote company core values, standards, and practicesWork with accuracy, urgency, and accountability to support deadlines and production flowWork overtime as required to support project needsWHAT IT TAKES 5+ years of millwork engineering experience requiredProficiency in 2D AutoCADExperience with 3D AutoCAD or other 3D software is a plus, but not requiredStrong understanding of interior millwork and cabinet construction, including applicable hardwareExperience with exterior millwork is a plus, but not requiredExperience working with glass, metal, upholstery, and other specialty materials is a plus, but not requiredStrong ability to read and interpret architectural, interior design, and shop drawings, specifications, and related project documentsAbility to multitask and communicate effectively with multiple Project Managers across multiple projectsTeam player who can follow direction, collaborate well, and contribute to a strong internal cultureSelf-motivated and able to work efficiently with and without direct supervisionEnglish required; bilingual is a plus, but not requiredHigh level of honesty, professionalism, and a positive attitudeWHAT WE OFFER Competitive Base Pay (DOE)Performance Pay (Variable compensation pinned to business results)Benefits Package – Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(k), paid holidays, sick time, vacationSchedule – Full Time, ExemptLocation – Los Angeles / Newbury Park area, in officeStart Date – ImmediateHOW YOU'LL GROW This role is designed to grow with the company.
