Job Description - Milling Operator
Department: Production
Reports to: Production Supervisor/Manager
Essential Duties:
- Has the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform all the duties of milling without direct assistance and minimal Supervision.
- Skill and abilities required to operate all mills including mill changeovers, set ups, adjustments to prevent backups and to improve product flow.
- Has the knowledge, skill and abilities to accurately set up combination deck arrangements in a reasonable amount of time.
- Works with Quality Control for sampling of lots and as needed.
- Learning and development of knowledge in record keeping.
- Requires unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs continuously.
- Follows Safety & Sanitation rules
- Keeps area and department clean.
- Other duties as assigned by Newly Weds Foods.
- Knowledge, skills and abilities to safely operate a fork lift.
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent Education (GED).
- 12-18 months on similar job or similar milling experience.
- Ability to pass Pre-employment, Comprehension and Math testing.
- Ability to pass Drug Screen testing.
Job Requirements:
- Job requires constant standing, lifting and moving product throughout the entire day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., on a regular repetitive basis throughout the entire shift.
- Job requires physical stamina to work 8 hours daily with overtime required as needed.
- Hand - eye coordination, ability to operate basic equipment and physical stamina to lift and carry the product.
