    Mill Manager -Mining Lion One Metals is recruiting for a Mill Manager for its Tuvatu Alkaline Gold Project. This position will require an expat to live in Fiji. 1. DIMENSIONS OF THE POSITION: • Manage Mill and Mine Staff • Associated Positions: Mill Metallurgy Technician, Mill Operations Supervisor, Process Operations Foremen Crew A,B,C, Process Operations Utilities GF, Process Control E/I and Process Control Coordinator, and Filter Plant Operations Operator. • The position incumbent is expected to work closely to supervise the Senior Metallurgist and with related senior Process Operations personnel to: provide daily operational support to assist in identification, investigation, and implementation of production and cost improvements. The incumbent is also expected to work with process maintenance pers onnel as required 1. PURPOSE: · To supervise the M etallurgy and Mi ning team to plan and execute technical projects and to continuously understand and improve the Mill Process and recovery methods. 1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, included but not limited to: • Comply with all Lion One Metals and Lion One Ltd Occupational Health and Safety requirements as well as those requires under the Decree of the Ministry of Lands, Mineral Resources Department Chapter 146 • The position incumbent is expected to work closely with related senior Process Operations personnel to: provide daily operational support to assist in identification, investigation, and implementation of production and cost improvements. The incumbent is a lso expected to work with maintenance personnel as required. • Develop Fijian National Staff and Non -Staff including active participation in the site Succession Planning process. Ensure the transfer of technology from expatriate to National employees and the promotion and support of National employee training and skill development. • Provide on the job training in sound project management and control techniques for national staff assigned to the projects. • Upstream interactions will be required with Mine Engineering, Geology and operations personnel for ore body characterization and recovery/concentrate grade modelling and forecasting. • Downstream interactions will be required with the Lion One Marketing Department in regards to concentrate shipment schedule and issues related with concentrate quality. • Responsible to design test programs, estimate costs of test programs, and manage the programs to successful completion independently and efficiently. • Work directly with the Process Operations personnel in Process Optimisation. This includes but is not limited to: i. Daily monitoring of process recoveries, Concentrators, Gravity circuit and ADR, CIL, and Filter plant performance; ii. Troubleshooting plant performance issues; iii. Monitor plant sampling and in stream analyser equipment performance in circuits. Calibration to ensure acceptable accuracy of in stream analyser. Work with relevant groups to rectify any identified issues or implement improvements; iv. Conducting circuit test work and plant surveys in the process, and Filter plant circuit to quantify impact of potential or initiated changes within the circuit; v. Identify, investigate and recommend circuit optimisation opportunities and initiatives for implementation via Process Operations and Maintenance as appropriate; vi. Assist in implementation of operational and capital initiatives as required by Process Operations and Maintenance. • Plan project activities including scope development, determining resources and execution of these projects within approved time frames and budgets. · Responsible of the proficient report writing and interpretation of data and have a strong solution chemistry knowledge. • Responsible for direct research programs and manage related technical staff • Assist in administration of data collection, the establishment of cost controls and maintain budgets. • Coordinate work carried out by external consultants, contractors and suppliers on behalf of Lion One Ltd for projects including administration of contracts. • Ensure that the Projects are rigorously planned, scoped, resourced and are executed within approved time frames and budgets. • Coordinate and manage ongoing recovery/concentrate grade model development and maintenance with Mine Geology, Mine Engineering and Metallurgy. This includes actively support and contribution to the ongoing Mine to Mill programmer at Lion One. • Monitor and report project and performance on a regular basis. 4. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: • A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field and 5 to 10 years of experience in Plant or M ill Management . • Proven knowledge of mineral processing, particularly in grinding and base metals beneficiation techniques is essential. • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are essential. Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. • Fluency in English (communication and writing) • Proven team work and proactive independent work ethic. • Highly developed problem solving, analytical thinking and creative thinking skills are essential. • Supervisory and management experience is also necessary. • A proven tract record of project work. • A tertiary degree in Metallurgy or relevant engineering discipline is essential. 5. Desirably Skill, Knowledge, Training, and Experience: • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, solids report writing skills are a must. • An advanced degree is a plus. Full-time o E Screening questions
