Summary:
Maintains and troubleshoots wheeled and tracked military vehicles including M270, M270A1, HIMARS, MLRS, Bradley, M1A1, HUMVEE, and HEMITT.
Performs maintenance and repairs on bulldozers and front end loaders.
Performs maintenance and troubleshooting on gasoline and diesel engines.
Performs operation, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment used in material handling and ordnance testing, including warehouse vehicles such as forklifts, tugs, and small trailers.
Performs test and checkout of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic subsystems and complete systems at field locations away from primary company operations.
Performs preventive maintenance checks on safety equipment.
Renders technical guidance to resolve difficult and unusual maintenance problems.
Provides analysis of maintenance programs and recommendations.
Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment and integrated systems.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain security clearance.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
High School diploma or equivalent experience and combined education with additional technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned preventive and demand maintenance tasks.
1 year of experience in maintenance and technical support.
Familiarity with gasoline and diesel engines.
Troubleshooting skills on vehicles.
Auto repair or diesel technician or mechanic experience working on diesel vehicles and engines.
Desired: Familiarity with Redstone Arsenal, AL operations.
Desired: Familiarity with engine and diesel engines.
