Located on a 37‑acre campus in northeast Shelby County, Lakeside serves children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors with programs that treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression, anxiety, mental illness, and addictive diseases (alcoholism, drug addiction, substance abuse).ResponsibilitiesThe Milieu Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and safety of patients by Mental Health Technicians or Certified Nursing Assistants on designated units. The Milieu Supervisor creates a safe environment for patients, provides crisis intervention, and promotes involvement in individual/family education groups. The Milieu Supervisor provides direct patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse. The Milieu Supervisor works with all nursing staff to ensure Special Behavioral Treatment Plans are carried out as written by the treatment team. Additionally, the Milieu Supervisor takes proactive steps to prevent crises when warning signs become evident, providing a coach‑to‑team approach of problem‑solving on the units.
