Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced MIG Welders for projects located in the Milwaukee, WI area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $22-24/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
- Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on structural and production components
- Weld I-beams, frames, and fuel tanks in flat and overhead positions
- Weld sheet metal ranging from 10 gauge up to 1-inch thickness
- Clamp, hold, tack weld, grind, and bolt component parts as required
- Weld, position, and secure workpieces using hoist cranes, wire and banding machines, and hand tools
- Inspect products and equipment for defects, quality issues, and malfunctions
- Maintain quality workmanship while adhering to all shop safety standards
Requirements:
- Must have GMAW/MIG welding experience
- Must be able to run a continuous bead without stopping
- Must be able to read and use measuring devices accurately
- Must be able to pass various weld tests, competency testing, and a math test
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship
