MIG Welder – $25/HR | Growing Manufacturing Company

Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time (Temp to Hire)
Overtime: As needed based on production demands and deadlines

Velocity Flex is currently hiring MIG Welders for a well-established manufacturing company that is in ramp-up mode and continuing to grow.

What You'll Be Doing

You will perform MIG welding, grinding, fitting, and straightening of assemblies and parts according to specifications and production requirements. The role also includes reviewing drawings, setting up jigs and fixtures, fitting and tacking materials, completing final welds, grinding and cutting metal, and identifying or correcting defective parts and assemblies.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–2+ years of MIG welding experience
  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work with hand tools, air tools, grinders, and other shop equipment
  • Excellent attendance and dependability
  • Stable work history and good resume tenure
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet production schedules and deadlines
  • Strong attention to quality and safety
  • Ability to follow direction from supervisors and leads
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Trade school welding certificate preferred
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus

Weld Test Required

All candidates will be required to successfully complete a weld test prior to placement.

Candidates must provide their own:

  • Welding hood
  • Metatarsal steel-toe safety shoes

Long-sleeve FR shirts and FR pants are required while working in the facility.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing position in a non-climate-controlled plant environment. Candidates must be comfortable standing for extended periods and working around welding equipment, grinders, hydraulic equipment, overhead cranes, fumes, and normal fabrication-shop conditions.
