Midwest Business Development Manager - Steel

Bring your steel sales network to an AISC-certified Michigan steel erector chasing large Midwest projects of 5,000+ tons. Permanent full-time Business Development Manager opening paying $100,000-$200,000 per annum plus bonus incentives, with Midwest travel.

Primary responsibilities

• Find and develop steel erection work with Midwest general contractors and owners
• Coordinate pursuit strategy on major structural steel packages of 5,000+ tons
• Track the competitive landscape, bid timing, and Midwest project pipelines
• Promote an AISC-certified Michigan erector to clients and at industry functions
• Travel the Midwest to support pursuits and deepen client relationships

Qualifications needed

• Prior business development or sales role in steel erection, structural steel, or heavy construction
• Experience landing large Midwest tonnage projects
• Connections with general contractors, fabricators, or owners preferred
• Willing to travel around the Midwest
• Effective communicator who consistently converts pipeline into awards
